The first stage of the project for us was to prepare a full inventory of the wired pulled by others. That affected the design because we had to adjust our design to (5) separate headends. The whole system consists of (24) independent audio zones, (12) HD video zones, (3) surround sound zones. There are 256 lighting loads connected to the Vantage whole house lighting system. All lighting controls are tight to the Control4 system offering homeowners single interface to all installed subsystems via (3) in-wall touchscreens, iPhone/iPad or (8) hand held remotes.
Anywhere in the home client can experience shared audio/video sources including online streaming content, HD DirecTV receivers with DVRs, Blu-Ray Players, AppleTVs.
Network design provided WiFi via managed wireless solution along with enterprise-grade hardware for all wired connectivity.
We have installed advanced burglary alarm system serving 105 individual zones with interactive features from Alarm.com. As an enhancement to the system we added specialty screens on the windows. Fitted with trip wires and sensors, the screens allow the owners to open the windows without jeopardizing their security. Procom shipped the existing window screens to Secura-Screens, which added the necessary technology that would enable them to be tied to the GE security system.

Television above fireplace was concealed with a VisionArt screen, creating “wow” factor and protecting the sophisticated room interior design. There are big screen televisions installed at the indoor pool area and Gym connected to all home’s video sources. Master Suite area has 5.1 surround sound system with dedicated sources and also access to all whole house sources. All other spaces in the house are equipped with in-ceiling speakers from Triad. These speakers can play music selected from system interfaces. The Poker Room in a basement has (3) large televisions with 5.2 surround sound system installed. It was important that the secondary TVs in a room did not distract watching feature on a main screen. Very important was to provide homeowner with easy to use interface to operate different televisions in this room. The homeowners use the room primary to view sports programming.
Bedrooms on the second floor are equipped with iPod docking stations which are connected as a local source, but also can be rerouted to play music in different areas of the house.
The playroom on the second floor has locally installed gaming equipment.
Unified control of all home subsystems is done via iPhones, iPads along with dedicated in-wall controls and RF remotes providing access to lighting, security, CCTV cameras and entertainment. There are custom screen savers programmed for all touch screens displaying family pictures and favorite sport teams.
We were working with a system that we did not design which had already been wired, so we had to completely re-engineer the system within the limits of how the home was wired.
